do we live in reality, or in a state of denial?

"whether you turn to the right or to the left, your ears will hear a voice behind you, saying, this is the way; walk in it." isaiah 30:21

hope is by far one of the most wonderful qualities a human being can have. we all hope that a bad situation will go away, but do you find yourself ignoring it or dealing with it head on? i think it depends on the situation.

i think most people do both. it bothers me when individuals say that they don't worry, or aren't anxious about something. that they take life as it comes without any stresses. that right there goes against scripture regarding trials and tribulations. each one has faced a trial, it just all depends on how we handle it.

"though you have made me see my troubles, many and bitter, you will restore my life again; from the depths of the earth you will bring me up." psalm 71:20

can we judge a government that spends too much money that they don't have, when we do this ourselves? can we judge one another for an addiction they may have, when we may have one ourselves? can we blame a teacher for not educating our child when we don't teach them at home? can we judge our spouses on their actions when we have done something just as bad, but have sought their forgiveness? humility is far better than self-righteousness.

each one of us is not perfect. each one of us enables anothers sin (that's a sin in itself). each one of us would rather turn away from a trial instead of working hard to resolve it. each one of us has yelled out in anger and disrespect to prove a point. think about this; we say we forgive, but do you still bring it up over and over again in your minds and hearts? then you haven't forgiven.

"for men are not cast off by the LORD forever. though he brings grief, he will also show compassion, so great is his unfailing love. for he does not willingly bring affliction or grief to the children of men." lamentations 3:31-33

we have choices to make; GOD gives you the choice if you take the time to listen. when you accept HIS words to be the only truth; then HE shows you the way. we will never be without sin, but that doesn't give us the right to continually commit sins over and over again. if you accept HIM into your hearts then a change begins in your soul; the HOLY SPIRIT has come alive in you. you have turned from the darkness, and now you are walking in the light.

"I will lead the blind by ways they have not known, along unfamiliar paths I will guide them; I will turn the darkness into light before them and make the rough places smooth. these are the things I will do: I will not forsake them." isaiah 42:16
